Mission:
To promote interdisciplinary research on active living and wellbeing with a focus on understanding and enhancing the quality of life across different demographics, facilitating positive changes in individuals' lives and communities.
Vision:
LiveWell aspires to be a regional based and global focused R&D unit that pioneers innovative research in active living, contributing for the development of evidence-based strategies empowering one´s sports engagement, healthy lifestyles, health promotion, disease prevention, and maximizing wellbeing.
Aims:
Our regional based and global focused aims are:
- Holistic Understanding | To conduct holistic and interdisciplinary research on health, food, physical activity, sports, and wellbeing.
- Evidence-Based Community Interventions | To develop and implement evidence-based community and intervention programmes in co-creation with stakeholders that promote active living and wellbeing of different demographic groups.
- Capacity Building of Human Capital | To train professionals prepared for the evolving societal demands in this field by the facilitation of academic pursuits (i.e., bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees) as well as offering upskilling and reskilling opportunities of practitioners.
- Knowledge Dissemination | To engage with the academic community through impactful academic publications, active participation in scientific meetings and other dissemination venues.
- Public outreach and Empowerment | To disseminate knowledge by public outreach initiatives, empowering individuals, communities and policymakers to gauge informed decisions for an active and healthy lifestyle.
- Collaborative Networks | To encourage collaborations, facilitate exchanges with regional, national, and international R&D units and stakeholders for mutual growth and innovation.
